Meet the Staff
Bruce Allen (Owner)
Up until he opened the Falmouth Furniture Company, Bruce had worked in Hardware Stores his entire life. From working after school at North Falmouth Hardware to managing the original Eastman's Hardware in Falmouth until 2005, he has always loved the hardware industry. Disappointed when he wasn't able to buy Eastman's, Bruce decided to open his own store; the Upper Cape 's first unfinished furniture store. When Bruce isn't working (which is rare), he enjoys walking, shopping, Broadway Musicals, and professional wrestling (as a spectator, that is, for now). He is often active in the Falmouth Theatre Guilde, starting as Stage Manager for the 1980 production of ”Scrooge”, and recently having built sets for “Guys & Dolls”, and “Beauty & the Beast”. He also owns and operates a Haunted House that is open every October on a local farm (www.harvestofhorrors.com ).

Eilis Auger (Sales)
Daughter of legendary Falmouth High School teacher Bill McKay, Eilis was schooled to become a physical therapist. Instead, her husband and Bruce decided she should dedicate her life to the selling of unfinished furniture. Eilis has worked at Falmouth Physical Therapy, The Discovery Store, Uncle Bill's Country Store, and Pier One. She also is very active with the Falmouth Road Race, and is married to Matt Auger, who is first assistant to the race directors. Eilis knows the Falmouth Furniture Company's product lines inside and out, and looks forward to working with you! Eilis has been dubbed “The Mashpee Mermaid” by Gene, for good reason.

Gene Allen (Finishing)
Gene is Bruce's father, although both will deny their relationship to each other from time to time. At the Falmouth Furniture Company, Gene is responsible for applying coating to our furniture with a spray gun. It is the only type of gun his son will allow him to handle. Gene also makes frequent trips to the town dump, and the local coffee shop. In his (many) past lives, Gene has worked for the Air National Guard, Huntington Motors, Noyes Garage, and the original Eastman's Hardware. He was a Call-Fireman for many years for the town of Falmouth , and eventually became an Emergency Medical Technician. His extensive knowledge of construction, electricity, plumbing, masonry, auto repair, and shell fishing is a major asset to the Falmouth Furniture Company.
Ariana Barron (Clever Covers)
Ari originally was successful in the business world, but she soon found that it really wasn't for her, and she wasn't really for them. One day, while looking at a roll of wallpaper, she had an epiphany, and “Clever Covers” were born. On a side note, Ari's father, Bill Baron, once worked with Bruce and Gene at the original Eastman's Hardware, years before Ari and Bruce's present partnership developed. Although Bill worked part time at the store, his real claim to fame is scenic painting. His works are in many galleries and institutions nationwide. More information about Bill can be found at http://www.wbarronart.com/landscapes.html . Please buy a painting – we get a commission!
Michael Ernst (Graphic Design & Digital Photography)
Michael and Bruce have been friends for many years, despite Bruce's constant requests for both personal and professional favors. Michael designs logos and images for the Falmouth Furniture Company, and also took many of the stunning digital images of products found in our General Store. While technically not a “paid employee” of the FFC, Michael is frequently reimbursed for his efforts with cheap rum. This seems to work out quite well for both parties. In real life, Michael is Director of Information Systems at the Woods Hole Research Center ( http://www.whrc.org ). Mr. Ernst manages computer and telecommunication systems at the Center and maintains the Center's website. Prior to coming to the Center, he was a computer design specialist and programmer. Mr. Ernst received his M.F.A. in sculpture from the University of Washington , Seattle , and continues to practice sculpture professionally ( http://www.sculptureman.com ). It is also rumored that Michael portrays “The Showman” in Bruce's “Harvest of Horrors” Haunted House, but there is no actual proof of this.
