ROBOT SPACE TROOPER
Wow! If you didn't know these were new, you would swear this came from J.J. Newbury's in 1961. We aren't even sure which is cooler- the box it comes in, or the robot inside. The cardboard box is slightly yellowed and distressed, with old-school color graphics depicting a robot standing on an alien planet. When the fun wears off of gazing at the box, open it up and you'll find a “crank handle new friction motor” operated tin robot. It doesn't “wind up”, but the little handle does get the robot's wheels turning and the little turbine in his head spinning. Set him down, and he'll charge across your desk, destroying anything in its path! Well, actually, he only goes like 2 feet or so before he needs his crank cranked again, and he doesn't really “destroy” anything, but who cares? Everything else about this guy, including the retro artwork on the box, is great! In black or red, our choice.
